The Administrator's Column
May 2008
It is May already and it is with joy that Jean Paige introduced to you as the office clerk and receptionist. Her hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please try to do your office business during those hours. Of course, I will be there the other hours and will be happy to assist you, but you'll be served more quickly and efficiently during those hours. Again, many thanks are given to Pat Hay our main volunteer, and Sherrill Heard, both of whom couldn't wait to have their freedom again.
A gentle reminder about bringing your own containers to the dining room if you are taking home any of your meal. Styrofoam is a major polluter and we want to help preserve our planet in the best way we can. Every little bit helps.
Several of you are asking about window cleaning. There is a list of window washers on the bulletin board in the foyer. Several of you might be able to get together and arrange for someone to come. We're leaving those arrangements up to you.
Yes, there will be an "ice cream social", probably some time in August. We'll announce it as soon as the details are worked out. It is one of our favorite events, so we'll continue that as always. The Willows men always do a great job for us.
We're beginning to permanently rent our guest houses now. While it appears that we have a few of our regular villas available, we have fewer guest houses. What an exciting three and a half years this has been!
May you have a delightful May!
Sandy
