The Administrator's Column

June 2007

June is such a glorious month. We are so blessed to be living in such a beautiful environment, surrounded by friends who embrace Christian Science.

In addition to our regular church services, our buses have been busy carrying all of you to lectures, meetings, shopping, etc. How great it is to have these buses to meet nearly every need. In addition to our regular drivers (John, Ken, and Tony) we have two new substitutes: Mo Beshai and John DeGuzman. You'll be seeing these fellows from time to time.

Please remember to call the office if you have a tree that needs trimming. Because of our insurance, we contract the tree trimming. Our staff can handle only bushes and very small trees that can be pruned from the ground. There have been many comments about how lovely the grounds are. Flowers and other plantings contribute to The Willows being a very picturesque place to live and visit.

Our second evening meal (served May 10th) was not as well supported as those in the two prior months. We'll continue through June (serving evening meals on the 14th and 28th). If it is not supported, we'll discontinue the second evening meal for July and August. Comments have been divided as to noon and evening meal preference.

If you haven't visit our website lately, please take a moment to view it. You'll find it at www.ewillows.com. It been freshly designed and is very inviting.

The Willows Gallery and Boutique event was so well attended. I have heard wonderful comments about the show and refreshments. The talents of those who displayed there (our residents and local Christian Scientists) are unending.

Its time to mark your calendar for the July 7th ice cream social sponsored by The Men At The Willows. Special entertainment is being planned. So get your taste buds ready for ice cream, and plan to gather round and swing your partner.
