There is a great write-up and photos about The Willows in the Laguna Woods Historian newsletter. Bob Ring visited with Jeff Lane and me to ask about Willows history and how we came to be in this location. (Bob lives in Laguna Woods, and is one of its former mayors.)

It's a lovely write-up about the early beginning and development of the property here. We have several copies at the reception desk if you are interested in seeing the article.

The pool thermostat has been replaced, and the pool is holding the temperature of about 81 degrees. Hope you all will enjoy using it.

Whether you live here, or just visiting for a wonderful meal, please be sure to get your reservations in well ahead of time. It's great when the dining room staff knows how much to prepare.

We are gradually getting the villas painted. As time and weather permits, each building will be power-washed, have stucco repaired, and then spray-painted completely on the outside. Painting the trim finishes the project. We're grateful to see another step of progress in preserving and maintaining our homes here.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the December 7 Candlelight Dinner. This is always a special event hosted by The Willows Foundation. So get out your sparkles and join us for a delightful evening of great dining and entertainment.

Many thanks to the out-going Residents Board for their dedication. Welcome to the new Board! I look forward to working with them over the next year.

Stay warm and cozy while you love your neighbor and yourself.
